Etching Pyrex

This was definitely a learning experience for me, as are most of my craft experiences. The bottle on the Armour Etching Cream did say that it didn't work on "some Pyrex" but since I had already purchased the cream and the Pyrex I was going to give it a go. I cut out vinyl stencils using my Silhouette SD. The cream said to wait 5 minutes, which I did, then rinsed and I couldn't tell a difference. I left the vinyl in place then left it on for an hour with the same results. Finally, I left it on for several hours and after I rinsed it I still could not tell a difference so I took the vinyl off and as the glass dried it magically appeared. This was very frustrating for me because I missed the wedding shower that I was going to give these at because I chopped it up to a craft fail. There are a couple of goofs... I had some etching cream run where I didn't have vinyl folds pushed down hard enough and on the flowers I noticed that some etching cream got behind the vinyl when what I believe was the washing off process because it is lighter.
